I think that sometimes it’s easy for us to feel like we as young people don’t have a voice. We can’t vote, we’re usually still at home living under our parent’s roof, and our opinions aren’t always taken seriously. But being complicit when issues that matter to us are being debated, when our rights are being debated, is not an option. Recently, there have been discussions of cutting funding for Planned Parenthood (which uses tax dollars for a variety of things), like cancer screenings and pregnancy services, and pushing to nominate a Supreme Court justice who supports anti abortion laws - two threats that we can’t just sit back and complain about. The right for a woman to choose what she does with her body, get equal pay, simply be treated as she is guaranteed under the Constitution should not be up for debate, and we must keep fighting until that fact is true.
