I see a lot of people in the country not willing to stand up to issues that don’t directly impact their lives. It shouldn’t be like this; if it’s something you wouldn’t want to happen to you, it’s unfair for those who are being oppressed to stand by and watch it happen. Having “no stance” on an issue is ignorance of a larger problem that as living human beings, we all should be INCREDIBLY concerned about. Youth Speaks Out is going to contribute to the spread of educational resources and personal stories from young people who wish to have a bigger voice in our community. The youth of today are ready to contribute to the development of our society in order to ensure we don’t continue down a path of endless discrimination, hatred, greediness, and unnecessary death that history has cycled through time and time again.
