Love | Art | Play promotes original arts projects with professionals and non-professionals of all disciplines, encouraging them to step out of their safety zones to work on collaborative and original projects.
Love | Art | Play was created by legendary artist, Arlene Begelman, to host collaborative artistic projects and performances. Those who know Arlene as a teacher, director, and choreographer describe her as a true treasure in the New Milford area. Her years of dedication to the performing arts is second to none. Arlene Begelman has directed dozens of plays and musicals as Artistic Director of Actor’s Repertory Theatre of Connecticut and Connecticut Stage, Inc.
Through Love Art Play, Arlene is excited to continue her legacy and contribute to the bustling art scene of New Milford, CT.
Our wish list includes a theater space for artists to gather while working on projects without monetary or time constraints, establishing a youth theater of divergent talent and providing a place for the community to see the artists at work while they are developing and participating in projects.

A global music organization that provides comprehensive music education for schools and youth lacking music programs. It uses music from widely diverse traditions. The program also expands students' appreciation of music as a universal activity that transcends cultural, religious, and geographical boundaries.

is a director, choreographer and teacher. He recently choreographed the Broadway bound musical Hood the Robin Hood Musical Adventure for the Dallas Theater Center. Robert is currently teaching at Dance ETC. in Newtown.
is a Dancer/Teacher native of CT and owes early training to Arlene Begelman, Robert Maiorano and Barbara Baraverman from the School of Performing Arts in New Milford and Kerry Gallagher of FineLineTheatreArts. Jessie holds a degree from the University of North Carolina School of The Arts. She joined the New York based Dusan Tynek Dance Company in 2014.
is a 22-year-old performer/choreographer from Sherman CT. From the age of five until eighteen she trained in dance with Love Art Play founder Arlene Bagelman, as well as many other industry professionals. Through her time at SOPA and Fineline Theatre Arts, her passion for performance grew into career aspirations. She has also worked professionally with Connecticut Repertory Theater and A Contemporary Theater of Connecticut.
is the founder and director of ART Experience in New Milford teaching both children and adults in all mediums of art for the past ten years. She has been teaching since 1981 and is a member of the National Art Education Association.
is an American actress and dancer. She has played starring roles in musical theatre, and has been nominated for two Tony Awards and won the Los Angeles Ovation Awards for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for Chicago. She has also appeared in films.
has been a musician all his life and has enjoyed sharing his spirit of music with everyone, A former member of "Solstice", Guy plays many different kinds of flutes, the drums and the Marimba. He most recently moved back to Connecticut.
is a Brooklyn-based producer, musician, and remixer. He has produced/ remixed for 300+ artists, such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, and more. He is a Billboard-charting artist and a recent IDMA (International Dance Music Award) nominee.
has appeared in 17 Broadway shows including the current production of Tuck Everlasting, Chaplin, Catch Me If You Can and Finian's Rainbow. Lisa also appeared on TVs "Viva Variety" as a member of the Swimsuit Squad. Other TV credits include the Academy Awards and MTV Awards.
Pianist Beth Harvinson is a singer, actress and music arranger. She is currently working arranging music and collaborating with Leland Williams, and Janelle Robinson on a project for Love/Art/Play called “ All about Women and Some Men Too!!" Beth has performed in Washington D.C. for many years and in New York City, in Cabaret performances. Now back in CT., she teaches, arranges music and performs on stage, when the project grabs her interest.
