Since I was around 12-13 years old, something that became extremely important to me and something I've become extremely passionate about since is women’s rights. I believe now more than ever, with the 2020 presidential election coming up, the recent nomination/acceptance of Amy Coney Barrette as a Supreme Court Justice, and the fact that it’s only been a century of the -white- female’s right to vote, all women need to speak up and make their voices heard. Not only are our basic rights, such as abortion and birth control up for grabs, but so are those who’s rights we also fight for such as the LGBTQ+ and Black communities. It’s in the power of the people and -more specifically- the power of the youth, Generation Z, to stand up for what’s right and not let them take away what we’re fighting so hard for.
